Excellent stay! Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk staff was welcoming and professional from the moment I arrived. The property is very clean overall, and the rooms are spotless, well-designed, and highly functional. Every room has a private balcony, which is a huge plus. It’s the perfect spot to watch the sunrise in the morning and relax in the evenings. The bed was comfortable, and the room layout made it easy to actually live in the space, not just sleep there. The food and beverage setup is another standout (2 great restaurants, 5 bars). Having multiple dining and bar options right across the street is incredibly convenient – great meals, great drinks, and consistently friendly staff throughout. You can easily walk over for dinner, grab a drink, or stay out for the night without ever needing to get in a car. Management and staff clearly focus on the details, and it shows. Everything feels intentional, well-run, and guest-focused. It's a quaint resort feel without the commercialization you think of when you hear '"resort". Very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere and already looking forward to coming back!

Capt Hiram’s offers excellent value for the money and delivers a relaxed, waterfront experience that’s hard to beat. Breakfast was outstanding—high quality, freshly prepared, and served in generous portions that easily exceeded expectations. The views are truly beautiful, with pelicans gliding by, dolphins surfacing in the water, and fish visible right from the property. Parking was easy and stress-free, which immediately set the tone for a laid-back stay. The pool bar service was convenient and attentive, making it simple to enjoy a drink without leaving your spot. The location is perfect for easy walking along the Intracoastal, adding to the overall charm and accessibility. Riverfront rooms are absolutely worth it, offering the best views along with a sense of privacy and tranquility. Throughout the property, there’s plenty of space to choose your own perfect place—whether you want to relax, enjoy a drink, or sit down for a meal. Capt Hiram’s strikes a great balance between comfort, scenery, and value, making it a place we’d happily return to. Be sure to take a River King your during your stay--you won't be disappointed!

This was a great stay. This town is very small and not much going on besides a couple restaurants and whatever local event may be happening. Capt Hiram covers all the bases. Plenty of parking, you can walk to what is around on Riverside Dr., and the rooms are so good. We had 2 queen beds and both beds were sooooo comfy and supportive. The shower was amazing... I could stand there all day and be happy. Everything was clean and updated and our river room view was literally on the river. If you're coming to this area, this is the place to stay. The food on site is really good. Highly recommend!!

Our experience at Capt Hiram’s was exceptional. The place is very clean and well-maintained. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the view from our second floor was absolutely delightful. The staff was very friendly and courteous and we’re very helpful with any needs we had. The beachfront restaurant and bar was absolutely delicious food and a fun exciting vibe. I would recommend this place to friends family and anyone travelling through Vero Beach!

This was a wonderful experience for a “mom and pop style” resort. We stopped here overnight for a cruise and booked a last minute reservation. They were so accommodating with a pack and play and even engaged with my toddler by taking her on a scavenger hunt. The rooms were perfect for a family 4 and so convenient to the restaurant across the street . The sand bar was perfect for a great seafood dinner and cocktails while listening to live music. We are so glad we found this hidden gem!

I am very fond of this location and have spent many years staying here, just yesterday, my friend dropped a somewhat expensive pair of sunglasses into some waterfront rocks that were under a deck and with my best efforts, I was unable to retrieve them but through the help of the young lady in the ship store where they have all their beautiful merchandise, her name is Tiana. I was able to get a hold of a grabber that didn’t ultimately work, but I couldn’t thank her enough for helping me. As I had just given up one of the dock employees named Alex was coming by and saw me on the ground and said did you lose something in the deck and I said yes and I was able to point it out to him and he in about 30 seconds was able to reach down there and Retrieve my friends sunglasses. Although I’m sure you’re thinking why didn’t I just do that? I’m in my early 60s and he appeared to be in his late 20s and the way I had to articulate my body just didn’t seem to be happening anymore so I’m very grateful to these employees for helping me with this project and I will always say Capt. Hiram’s is one of the greatest places to stay, eat, party and just plain have a good time! And yes, they do have a dock where you can bring your boat so come by car or come by Boat and have the best time!

What an amazingly fun place. We brought our own fresh snapper for them to cook for us. Fabulous job of preparation and presentation. We were met at the dock by staff that helped us tie up. Sam took really good care of us on the fun side of the bar. We had a delightful local IPA and a perfect Florida experience.

Lunch at Blackfin Restaurant with good friends. Sat by the window and enjoyed the view. I had the shrimp and crab salad on roll with fries. Very good! We did5 stay at the resort, but may return to do that some other time.
